Broker disclosures.

Plain-English versions of the disclosures federal rules require of an air charter broker — and the ones we'd make anyway.

Who Aelion is

Aelion LLC (“Aelion”) is an air charter broker operating under 14 CFR Part 295, based in California. Aelion arranges private charter flights as an intermediary. Aelion is not a direct air carrier: we do not own or operate aircraft, we do not employ flight crews, and we are never in operational control of any flight.

Who operates your flight

Every flight arranged through Aelion is operated by an FAA-certificated direct air carrier holding authority under 14 CFR Part 135 (or another applicable certificate). The direct air carrier — not Aelion — has sole operational control of the flight: the aircraft, the crew, and the decision to fly.

What we disclose before you book

Before you agree to any charter arranged through Aelion, we will tell you:

On request, we will also provide available information about the specific aircraft and details of the liability insurance the direct air carrier holds for your flight.

Pricing — one number, all-in

A price listed by Aelion is the total you pay. No booking fees, no surcharges at checkout, no “plus taxes and fees” surprise — federal excise tax and our compensation are inside the number. Cost figures from our estimator are modeled estimates for planning, not quotes, and the page says so wherever they appear.

Refunds

If a charter you have paid for cannot be performed, you are entitled to a prompt refund: credit-card payments refunded within the timelines of federal credit regulations (Regulation Z), and cash or check payments within 20 days. Trip-specific cancellation terms are disclosed before you pay.

Market data and listings

Empty-leg listings and price statistics on this site are market intelligence: they are observed on public sources (attributed on each listing), change without notice, and are not offers by Aelion to sell air transportation. We measure each source's checkout taxes and fees and include them in the displayed price, so listings compare as real totals rather than teaser numbers; the small share of listings from sources we have not yet measured is marked “+ any checkout taxes” on the listing. A listing marked as not bookable on Aelion is exactly that. When a flight can be arranged through Aelion, availability and price are always confirmed with the operating carrier before you commit, and the full disclosures above apply.

Whole aircraft only

Charters arranged through Aelion are for the entire aircraft. Aelion does not sell individual seats on any flight. Per-seat figures shown on this site are arithmetic — the whole-aircraft price divided by seats — to help you compare value, and the page says so where they appear.
