New York Stewart International Airport

New York Stewart International sits in the Hudson Valley near Newburgh, roughly an hour north of Manhattan. A bit of history

The field began in the 1930s as an Army airfield used to train flying cadets from the nearby U.S. Military Academy at West Point, then expanded into Stewart Air Force Base, a major wartime troop and cargo hub. It remains a joint civil-military field, which is why military aircraft still share the ramp.
