Sonoma County Airport

Sonoma County Airport, named for Santa Rosa's own Charles M. Schulz — the creator of Peanuts — serves the North Bay wine country north of San Francisco. It's the only field with scheduled service in the region, but its real draw for charter is direct access to Sonoma and Russian River wine country without the drive up from the Bay.

As of mid-2026 the FBOs at Sonoma County include the Sonoma Jet Center, established here in 2005, and KaiserAir's Santa Rosa Jet Center. Both sit on the general-aviation side and handle the wine-country private traffic.

A bit of history

The field traces to a World War II Army airfield and grew into the North Bay's regional airport. In 2000 it took the name of Charles M. Schulz, the longtime Santa Rosa resident whose Peanuts strip made Snoopy a local icon — the reason a Flying Ace turns up around the terminal.
