Palm Beach International Airport

Palm Beach International serves West Palm Beach and the Palm Beaches, and it's one of the more private-aviation-heavy commercial airports in the country — the winter-season traffic to Palm Beach, Wellington, and Jupiter fills its general-aviation ramps with business jets. For charter into the northern end of South Florida, it's the natural field.

A bit of history

The airport opened in 1936 as Morrison Field, named for Grace Morrison, who helped organize the airfield; the first departure was an Eastern Air Lines DC-2 bound for New York. It was a major wartime air-transport base before growing into today's Palm Beach International.
