On the field
As of mid-2026 general-aviation and fuel services at Naples are run by the city's airport authority, which operates the field directly. Private departures go through the authority's general-aviation facilities close to downtown.
1942, 1969
The field was established in 1942 as Naples Army Air Field and trained cadets on Fairchild PT-19s during World War II. It passed to the city after the war. An airport authority created in 1969 has run it since, and under it the field grew into the resort city's airport.
